Profyl ("we", "our", or "the app") is a digital business card app developed by Sachindra Fernando. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Profyl, we collect the following information that you voluntarily provide:

• Account information: Email address and password (used for authentication)
• Profile information: Name, job title, company, bio, and profile photo
• Social links: URLs to your social media profiles that you choose to add
• Contacts: Business card contacts you save within the app

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Create and manage your digital business card profile
• Authenticate your account
• Store and sync your profile data across devices
• Generate QR codes for sharing your profile

3. Data Storage

We use the following services to store your data:

• Firebase Authentication: Securely manages your email and password. We never have access to your plain-text password.
• Firebase Cloud Firestore: Stores your profile information, social links, and contacts in Google's secure cloud infrastructure.
• On-device storage: Analytics data (profile views, link clicks, QR scans) is stored locally on your device only and is never sent to any server.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties. Your data is only shared when:

• You explicitly choose to share your profile via QR code or share sheet
• Required by law or legal process

5. Analytics

Profyl tracks basic usage analytics (profile views, link clicks, and QR code scans) entirely on your device. This data is not transmitted to any external server or analytics service. It exists solely for your own reference.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. When you delete your account:

• Your profile data is permanently removed from Firebase Firestore
• Your authentication account is permanently deleted from Firebase
• Local analytics data is cleared from your device

This process is irreversible. All your data is fully erased.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Firebase security rules restricting data access to authenticated users
• Profile images compressed and stored securely

8. Children's Privacy

Profyl is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
